David James Elliott cast in new ABC Pilot
JAG alum David James Elliott has been added to the cast of ABC's dramedy pilot Good Christian Bitches. It stars Leslie Bibb as Amanda, a mother of two and onetime “mean girl” in high school who returns home to Dallas humbled following a scandalous divorce, hoping to get a second chance at winning over her old classmates. Elliott will play the husband of one of Amanda's former classmates, Darlene (Kristin Chenoweth). Elliott, repped by Paradigm and Rain Management, is recurring on CSI.

Although the title of this TV movie is odd, I still cannot wait for the pilot to air and hope that it goes to a weekly series in the fall line-up. I am a very avid fan of David James Elliott and have missed him on a weekly TV show.
ReplyDeleteHe has so much talent to give to a series.

Sounds like the entire show is meant to be tongue-in-cheek beginning with the title and following through with the hilarious casting of Kristen Chenoweth (4'11"0 with DJE (6'4/5?"). The title, indeed, invites huge backlash to the show, but I bet if it gets through all that (with maybe a name change necessited), it'll be humorously humbling and enormously entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI agree - did a little research on the book ..."Kim puts a voice to the downside of gossip in a light-hearted piece of fiction but with a message that she hopes will resonate with women everywhere." I get that.
ReplyDeleteI also am a fan of David James Elliott. Looking forward to GCB and hope it flies. I believe anything DJE stars in is worth watching. He wouldn't waste his time and talents if he didn't think it was worth it. Right now I am excitedly awaiting the showing of "Truth Be Told" on April 16. I did not know there was a book on GCB. However, I agree with Cindy, the message should resonate with women everywhere.
