David James Elliott on CSI NY

"To What End?" — When a man in full clown costume shoots a bakery owner, the CSIs investigate and discover a decision from Flack’s past that may put him in jeopardy, on CSI: NY, Friday, Jan. 7 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  David James Elliott ("JAG") guest stars as FBI Agent Russ Josephson, Jo's ex-husband.

David James Elliott "He's kind of Gorgeous"

“CSI: NY’s” Sela Ward plays a DNA detective who turns out to be an expert in another acronym: "JAG."
“My ex-husband shows up one day, and that's David James Elliott,” Ward explains with a big smile. “Not bad.”
Elliot, who played Cmdr. Harmon "Harm" Rabb, Jr. on the popular Navy legal drama for a decade, plays the still-pining FBI agent ex of Ward’s Jo Danville.
How quickly did Ward find her chemistry connection with Elliott? “Well, it's hard NOT to have chemistry with him. He's kind of gorgeous. All 6'5" of him.”
Elliott’s character Russ Josephson’s return to his former flame’s life rattles her, and also unnerves her partner Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise).
“It was fun to see Mac and him,” said Ward, hinting that it may be more than professional competitiveness at work. “Even thought there's nothing going on with Mac and Jo, there's still the possibility – and a little flirtation.”
Ward admits even she’s not sure yet what would possibly motivate her character ditched her hunky hubby. “I have to make up why they got divorced, because that hasn't been revealed.”

David James Elliott: A New CSI: NY Guy

CSI: NY will kick off 2011 by introducing JAG star David James Elliott as FBI agent Russ Josephson, the ex-husband of Jo (Sela Ward), who will get in the way of the simmering chemistry between Jo and Mac (Gary Sinise). "I think he wants Jo back — and there is electricity," says David of his character, the father of Jo's son, whom we'll meet later this season. "Russ refers to their divorce as a 'separation.'"
While she may still have feelings for her ex, Sela believes Jo "must move forward." With Mac, perhaps? "There's definitely a subtle flirtation," she says. Even Gary, who prefers the show's focus to remain on the crimes, says that "Mac's captivated by Jo's wonderful Southern charm. She has a unique way about her that is infectious."
And Russ will pick up on that feeling, says exec producer Pam Veasey, who's in no rush to hook Jo up with either man just yet. "The audience will give us the signal when to go forward, but we like that there's chemistry and I think you'll see it evolve," she says. Signs of Jo and Mac's bond will be evident even before Russ arrives when the CBS series celebrates its 150th episode on December 3. It's a cheery first New York Christmas for Jo — aside from a bleeding woman in Central Park and a guy who dies in a department-store window display. New York, adds Veasey, "is so romantic in the winter."

David James Elliott back on CBS!!

One of CBS' biggest stars is coming back to the network! David James Elliott, who starred as Cmdr. Harmon "Harm" Rabb, Jr. on JAG from 1995-2005, has been cast on CSI: NY. And it's an awesome role.

David will play Russ Josephson, the ex-husband of Sela Ward's new investigator, Jo Danville. (Expect Jo to crack a joke about being Jo Josephson.) David will debut in an early January episode he is now shooting, and producers tell me there's a possibility he could come back for more.

Russ is not only Jo's ex, he's also the father of their college-aged son, Tyler, and an FBI agent. According to insiders, "their relationship is civil, but Jo still fights his obvious desire to reignite the past." Sounds juicy!

DAVID JAMES ELLIOTT - A HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE PREMIERING JUNE 19

FULL-TIME DAD REPORTING FOR DUTY!

‘JAG’ STAR DAVID JAMES ELLIOTT AND

DAYTIME EMMY® WINNER SHARON CASE STAR IN

‘DAD’S HOME,’

Sometimes losing something is all it takes to realize what you already have. When a single dad is fired from the job that has been keeping him out of his kids’ lives, he is faced with the reality of becoming a stay-at-home parent in “Dad’s Home,” a Hallmark Channel Original Movie premiering Saturday, June 19 (9p.m. ET/PT, 8c). “JAG” veteran David James Elliott and “The Young and the Restless” star Sharon Case come together in a story about a workaholic who is thrown into dad duty, just in time to heal the family bonds he has been breaking.

Widower Ben Westman (Elliott) barely knows his two kids, 12-year-old Lindsay (Madison Davenport, “Kitt Kittridge: An American Girl”) and eight-year-old Dylan (Will Shadley, “Dirty Sexy Money”). As a busy advertising executive, Ben hires housekeepers to keep things running smoothly at home. But suddenly, that all changes when he loses his job and must fire his help, take over the household chores and become a full-time father. Completely unprepared, Ben makes a mess of the cooking and cleaning in the house, and discovers his children have been growing up without him. When he finds out that Dylan has quit little league without telling him and Lindsay is becoming more consumed with fashion magazines and boys, Ben faces the challenge of reconnecting with his children while mourning the loss of both his wife and his career.

Eventually, Ben gets the hang of things with the help of his brother, Brian (Jay Huguley, “Brothers & Sisters”), and Dylan’s friendly, third-grade teacher, Hope (Case). But the kids are still getting used to Dad’s rules. Lindsay sneaks out with a boy, and Dylan gets in trouble for starting a fight at school. To deal with this, Ben turns to Hope, and there is an instant attraction between them. As Ben spends more time with his kids and gets to know Hope better, he finds out being a stay-at-home dad isn’t so bad. But then, a great interview lands Ben a job offer in Cleveland, and he must ultimately decide what is best not just for himself, but also for his family.

“Dad’s Home” is an LG Films Production in association with Larry Levinson Productions. Larry Levinson is the executive producer. Randy Pope and Tony Roman are the co-executive producers. Brian J. Gordon and Jim Wilberger are the producers. Bradford May directed from a script written by Adam Rockoff.
